The Pale Beyond Download for PC – Review:
The action takes place in the XIX century. Five years before the start of the game, the Viscount goes to Antarctica in search of the magnetic south. The unit disappears without a trace. In the end, the decision is made to send another sailing ship, named Temperance, whose goal is to discover the fate of the previous expedition and complete its task.
Unfortunately, the second expedition also gets into big trouble. The ship becomes trapped in the ice and the captain disappears under mysterious circumstances. As the next highest ranking member of the crew, our hero takes command of the sailors, and his goal becomes primarily survival.
The Pale Beyond Download for PC is a narrative-driven RPG that focuses primarily on exploring the story and making decisions that affect the further development of the story. There are elements of survival strategy. The player must carefully save resources, take care of the crew and carry out tasks.
During the game, we conduct an expedition in search of the ship the Viscount. We need to carefully select routes so as to minimize the risk to the crew and the unit. Sooner or later, however, winter hits us, and the ship gets trapped in the ice. Then the priority becomes perseverance to thaw. We then have limited capacity to replenish stocks, so we have to manage them carefully. We can also set up campsites and organize expeditions using dog sled.
The Pale Beyond Download for PC has an attractive two-dimensional graphic frame made in a comic style. All its elements were drawn and painted by hand, and the authors used paintings and sketches from the Victorian era showing early expeditions to the North Pole.
