The project offers a rather unusual approach to the topic of economic strategies. In classic productions of this type, players focus on developing their financial empire by building more and more factories. On the other hand, in the production Line available for the PC system, our task is to build only one, and the development takes place through the further and further optimization of production lines.
The factory is a complex system consisting of many machines and it is necessary to set them up in such a way as to speed up production as much as possible, which also requires proper synchronization of various devices in order to avoid downtime. Time is the main currency, and the better we optimize the production line, the lower the costs, which makes more money, and this in turn provides us with more funds for further development.
Achieving success is not easy. The very planning of the production line is a great challenge, and to this come failures and other technical problems and unpredictable random events. What is worse, our competitors on the market are the big car companies, which often have much more money to invest than we do.
When designing the gameplay mechanics, the main inspiration for the authors was Henry Ford, who created the production systems to this day considered the foundations of mass production of cars. His main achievement was to establish that the construction process should be broken down into the smallest and simplest parts, as this allows you to increase the pace of production and automation, which in turn reduces costs. This approach is the key to success in the Production Line. The player is forced to make maximum use of every square meter of the factory and the constant search for ineffective elements of the whole project and fix their problems.
