Pioneers of Pagonia is a colorful city builder co-created by experienced designer Volker Wertich, who launched the cult series The Settlers in 1993. Production uses proven solutions known from classic strategies, while introducing a number of innovations into them. The title is another entry in the work of the independent German studio Envision Entertainment.

Pagonia is an archipelago of islands on which are scattered numerous villages once belonging to one people. An unknown cataclysm separated them from each other, resulting in smaller tribes forced to fight alone with robbers, aggressive fauna and mythical beasts. As the eponymous pioneer, we traverse more lands, build a strong economy, participate in tribal rituals and help other islanders to eventually unite them under one banner.

Despite the preparation by the creators of the history of the world, the production is devoid of a feature campaign. Instead, Envision Entertainment chose to focus on a variety of challenges to encourage players to revisit the title.

Our mission at Pioneers of Pagonia PC Download is to lead a community that will become an economic powerhouse. To achieve this goal, we will learn new technologies, build more than 40 buildings, and develop production chains for more than 70 goods. Thanks to the constant exploration of the world, we will come across new sources of resources, precious treasures or mysterious places teeming with magic. In the game, we will use both management skills and the use of secret art. By carrying out tasks for neighboring villages, over time, we will gain the trust of their inhabitants, form alliances and launch trade routes. This will require the use of logistical solutions including m.in. creating a network of roads or transport methods.

In Pioneers of Pagonia PC Download, we do not directly direct the battle formations available. Our subcommittees will be waiting for simple orders (e.g. patrolling, scouting or searching for enemies) in dedicated buildings. Different types of units will work better against a specific enemy – for example, guards can easily deal with thieves, but in the fight against ghosts, magicians will be more useful.
