In Whateverland PC Download, you play Vincent: a thief who attempts to steal a precious necklace from the estate of an elderly woman named Beatrice. Unfortunately, the situation becomes very complicated – the hero is caught red-handed, and the old woman turns out to be a powerful witch. As part of the punishment, the protagonist is sent to the eponymous Whateverland – a kind of prison inhabited by enemies of the witch. Vincent teams up with a man named Nick and tries to find a way out of a strange land.
Whateverland is a two-dimensional point & click adventure game in which the action is observed from different perspectives. The fun is exploring locations, talking to characters, finding objects and solving puzzles. Making choices also plays an important role – the story is not linear and our decisions affect its further shape. Importantly, this applies not only to the dialogues, but also to the gameplay – due to the fact that Vincent is a thief, the player has the opportunity to steal from encountered characters, which, of course, can affect how they treat the main character.
Whateverland PC Download has an interesting, two-dimensional graphics. It consists mainly of hand-drawn illustrations and animated character models, on which additional special effects are applied here and there. The game is kept in an intriguing, somewhat fairy-tale style, which evokes associations with illustrated books for children – at the same time, however, the production is characterized by a rather gloomy atmosphere.
