The events presented in the title take place in medieval Europe. The title consists of a total of three campaigns: two classic and one completely new, developed by the co-founders of Firefly Studios-Simon Bradbury and Eric Ouelette. as part of the latter – available only in The Definitive Edition.
As with the original, Stronghold Definitive Edition PC Download is a combination of city Builder and military and economic strategy. The gameplay is based on building and designing impressive castles and vast settlements, building powerful fortresses, managing finances and resources, and developing a fearless army that will make our population feel safe.
The most spectacular element of the gameplay are fierce battles, which we often have to fight with enemy armies. In this case, the most spectacular are the sieges of castles, requiring us a special tactical sense. In order to resist the attacks of enemies as effectively as possible, we make sure that our army is powered by diverse units, and the walls of fortresses and castles are reinforced with defensive equipment. Stronghold: Definitive Edition introduces two classic campaigns, consisting of 26 missions, and a completely new single-player story campaign, consisting of a total of 14 missions.
Like the original Stronghold Definitive Edition PC Download, it has a two-dimensional graphic frame, shown in isometric view. The improved Fortress introduces refreshed graphics and animations, developed from the ground up by the artists responsible for the prototypes. The title also features a remastered soundtrack by Robert L. Euvino, enriched with brand new issues recorded by some of the original voice actors.
