The Lamplighters League is set in an alternate reality of the 1930s. 20th century. For thousands of years, The Banished Court’s evil cult has been searching for artifacts to take over the world. However, the plans of the villains are constantly crossed by the eponymous League of Lamplighters, composed of the greatest heroes in the history of mankind.
At least that was the case in the past, because centuries of fighting cultists have greatly thinned the ranks of organizations. As a result, the league had to lower its requirements for candidates somewhat, and its ranks were filled with hordes of rogues, crooks, and other outcasts who would be despised by any self-respecting hero. But now it is these types from under the darker Star that will have to stop the villains and confront the ancient powers.
The Lamplighters League is an unusual tactical RPG. On the one hand, we have turn-based clashes well known to fans of the genre, during which we give orders to a team of assassins. Each hero has his own talents and skills, and the key to victory is the proper use of all the characters and objects on the board.
However, in addition to these elements the Lamplighters League also includes real-time gameplay similar to the Commandos series. Although the fight is always turn-based, before the clash we move around the board in real time, just like in classic RPG games.
