Soma is a first person survival horror created by Frictional Games Studio, intended for PC, PS4 and XONE. The production takes place in the underwater, heavy science fiction-inspired PATHOS-II facility and is replete with fear-inducing confrontations with monsters and artificial intelligence. The creators also discussed the importance of human consciousness or the survival of civilization in the face of disaster, which brings to mind the treatments known from the Talos Principle.

Soma PC Game Download retells the story of Simon Jarrett, who, as a result of a tangle of events, ends up in the PATHOS II research center built on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. It quickly turns out that the complex was taken over by artificial intelligence, which killed all its employees, and Jarrett, revealing the secrets hidden by the facility, must get out of its territory. In the story, the place of Hollywood twists of action is replaced by an exceptionally dense, unpleasant and suspenseful atmosphere that is the hallmark of the creators, while the narrative is characterized by interactivity and a focus on the ability of the hero to communicate with encountered robots. In addition, the story is deepened by emerging philosophical and religious themes, referring, among other things, to the story of the biblical flood, issues related to the limits of human morality or one’s own identity.

In the game, events are observed from a first-person perspective, and the gameplay itself is divided into exploration, logical and survival sequences. During the first, we traverse the various sectors of pathos and the sections of the ocean floor connecting them, we can search drawers, cabinets or desks, as well as listen to recordings scattered around the world of the game and read emails that allow us to obtain important information for understanding the plot.

Puzzle elements are mainly associated with solving simple puzzles in the form of various mini-games and searching through individual rooms in order to obtain items and improvements that allow access to subsequent levels.
