Return to Monkey Island is the sixth full-length installment of the Monkey Island series, which dates back to 1990. The game was developed by Devolver Digital, Lucasfilm Games and Terrible Toybox. The founder of the latter, Ron Gilbert, is the father of the series, for whom this production marks a return to the brand after more than thirty years.

Return to Monkey Island PC Download continues the story that began in the Secret Of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge, omitting the plot of the series released from 1997 to 2010. Its action is set many years after the protagonist, Guybrush Threepwood, had a duel with a zombie pirate, LeChuck. The protagonist feels depressed and unfulfilled, because so far he has not been able to discover the secret of the eponymous Monkey Island.
At the same time, his home, melee Island, is changing for the worse. In power came the young and fashionable leaders of the Pirates, headed by captain Madison. As a result of their rule, Stan S. Stanman went to prison – an eccentric, fast-talking salesman, known to fans of the series since “one”. He was accused of “marketing crimes.”
Guybrush must navigate this changed reality, interacting with both old friends – including his true love, Elaine Marley, who decided to give up power before Madison’s group took over-and brand-new characters. However, the adventure quickly turns on him. Guybrush must set sail on the high seas to find allies, as well as discover the mysterious and unknown.
