The player takes on the role of a magician who takes over the tower of his deceased master. Having discovered that his mentor conducted advanced research on Praognia – a powerful source of magical power-the hero decides to continue his work. To do this, he must fight for dominance with other magicians, as well as perform uncomplicated side tasks.
Gameplay in SpellForce Conquest of Eo is conducted in a turn – based system-this applies to both management of any kind, and clashes with enemy armies, which are rolled out on small tactical maps. Beyond these, the game focuses on developing the army, gaining power and magical knowledge – in total there are more than 60 spells available – and taking over more territories, preferably rich in various kinds of resources.
At the very beginning of the adventure, we choose the archetype of the magician in which we embody or create our own wizard. Each of them can learn different spells, expand the master’s Tower in different ways, and also create unique items in the crafting system. Over time, our magician is joined by various students and heroes who support him in battle with their skills.
